Manuscript Invitation

The KORA Journal of Applied AI & Multidisciplinary Studies (KJAI) invites researchers, engineers, clinicians, educators, policy analysts and practitioners to submit original research and review articles for consideration for publication in the inaugural December 2026 issue.
KJAI publishes work on artificial intelligence in application — the methods, the domains, and the interdisciplinary space between them. We read submissions from established researchers and first-time authors alike, and we particularly welcome work that comes out of a real deployment. The journal welcomes submissions covering, but not limited to:
  • Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Representation Learning including statistical learning theory and optimisation
  • Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models and Multimodal Systems
  • Computer Vision, Speech, Signal and Time-Series Modelling
  • Reinforcement Learning, Planning and Decision-Making Under Uncertainty
  • AI in Health, Medicine and the Life Sciences imaging, clinical decision support, bioinformatics, public health
  • AI in Education and the Learning Sciences tutoring, assessment, learning analytics, language learning
  • AI in Engineering, Manufacturing and Robotics control, digital twins, predictive maintenance, autonomous systems
  • AI for Environment, Climate, Agriculture and Energy
  • AI in Finance, Economics, Law and Public Policy
  • Computational Linguistics, Digital Humanities and Computational Social Science
  • Trustworthy, Fair, Explainable and Privacy-Preserving AI auditing, robustness, governance and regulation
  • Human–AI Interaction, Cognitive Science and the Psychology of Automation
  • Datasets, Benchmarks, Replications and Negative Results reviewed and published on the same terms as anything else

The submission deadline for the inaugural issue has been extended to 31 October 2026. Manuscripts received after that date remain welcome and will be considered for Volume 2, Issue 1 in June 2027.

Submission Procedure

The journal will move to an Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which will be announced here when it opens. Until then, all manuscripts are submitted by email to admission@thekoreanacad.com, with the subject line KJAI - [Section] - [Short title].
Manuscripts are accepted in LaTeX only. Use the journal's official template and send both the .tex source and the compiled .pdf, together with a separate title page. Every research article needs a code and data availability statement and a completed reproducibility checklist. Before submitting, please read the Author Guidelines carefully to ensure that all formatting, ethical and submission requirements have been met.

Why Publish With Us

3 Days
A fast first answer

Within three days of submission you know whether your manuscript has entered peer review or been desk rejected — with the reason stated.

Two Reviewers
One for the method, one for the domain

Cross-domain manuscripts go to a methods reviewer and a domain reviewer, so neither half of your paper is judged by someone guessing.

Open Access
Free for every reader, everywhere

No subscription, no paywall, no embargo. Your work is readable by the practitioners it is written for.

Reproducible
Negative results and replications are welcome

A well-executed study that closes off a plausible approach is a contribution, and is reviewed on the same terms as a positive one.

On Acceptance
Nothing to pay until you are accepted

No submission fee. The Article Processing Charge — ₹2,000 in India, USD 30 elsewhere — is invoiced only after notification of acceptance, and never for a rejected manuscript.

Full Reports
You see both reviews

Whatever the decision, both reviewer reports reach you in full, with the editor's reasoning — not a one-line verdict.

All Announcements

Submission deadline extended. The deadline for the inaugural issue moves from 30 September to 31 October 2026, in response to requests from authors. Decisions will be issued by 30 November.

Call for papers is open. Volume 1, Number 1 will appear in December 2026. Research articles, applied case studies, systems and dataset papers, short communications and reviews are all welcome.

Reproducibility policy published. Every research article must carry a code and data availability statement and a completed reproducibility checklist. Replications and negative results are reviewed on the same terms as any other submission.

Reviewer applications open. The journal is building its reviewer pool across AI methods, applied and cross-domain AI, and responsible AI. Applicants need an ORCID iD and any two of the eight eligibility criteria — doctoral students and early-career researchers are strongly encouraged to apply.

LaTeX template published. The journal accepts manuscripts in LaTeX only. The official template handles algorithms, code listings, mathematics, tables, figures and references, and compiles as it stands under pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX.

KJAI is founded. The KORA Journal of Applied AI & Multidisciplinary Studies is established by The Korean Academy as a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing twice a year.
