Applications are open

KJAI is actively appointing editorial board members and reviewers across artificial intelligence methods, applied and cross-domain AI, and responsible and human-centred AI. Anyone qualified may apply — you do not need to be invited, and you do not need a connection to The Korean Academy.

To apply for the editorial board — as an associate editor, a board member, or to the advisory board — write to admission@thekoreanacad.com with the subject line KJAI Editorial Board Application. Attach a short CV, your ORCID iD, and say which subject area you would cover and roughly how much time you can give.

To apply as a reviewer, complete the journal's reviewer application form and email it with your CV. Applicants need an ORCID iD and any two of eight eligibility criteria — and doctoral students and early-career researchers in AI and in the journal's application domains are strongly encouraged to apply.

How appointments are made. Reviewers are selected for expertise in the specific subject of a manuscript, never for availability alone, and no one reviews the work of a close colleague, classmate, student or supervisor. Cross-domain manuscripts are normally sent to one methods reviewer and one domain reviewer. Nobody is listed on this page without having agreed in writing to serve, and we are particularly keen to appoint members from outside our own alumni network.
